Licensing Progress
2011
This club is one A/OA match away from application for full, final AKC licensing.
First AKC Licensed Herding Trial: The Border Collie Club of Arizona's First AKC Licensed Herding Trial was held on FRIDAY, October 7TH, 2011 in Mayer, in conjunction with Arizona Herding Association's Fall Chute Out. This, our first licensed trial, was a huge success on so many levels. We had an enthusiastic response from the herding community and so many entries we had to add two more judges. The ambiance was exemplary, the weather was beautiful, the mood cheerful, and the help gracious. The trial got many favorable reviews! The trial was also a financial success largely because most of the trial expenses were donated. So we now have operating money for the future.
